Intersurgical, a strategic medical device company based in the UK, has announced an agreement to acquire Teleflex’s Acute Care and Interventional Urology businesses. The deal is structured as an add-on acquisition and is expected to expand Intersurgical’s product portfolio by integrating Teleflex’s urology-related ranges, technical expertise, and operations. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquired businesses add depth to Intersurgical’s existing focus on anaesthesia and respiratory care, while extending its presence into urology and acute care solutions. For Teleflex, the transaction represents a portfolio reshaping move, while for Intersurgical it supports a broader, more comprehensive offering for healthcare customers and distribution partners worldwide.

Intersurgical said it plans to integrate the teams and product ranges post-closing to strengthen its ability to serve customers across anaesthesia, airway management and urology. The announcement does not specify a deal value or an expected closing date.
