Reltio Acquired by SAP — Technology M&A

Announced
TechnologyAdd-on

Deal Overview

SAP SE has agreed to acquire Reltio, a master data management software provider, in an announced add-on deal with undisclosed financial terms. The acquisition is designed to strengthen SAP’s Business Data Cloud by improving how organizations unify, cleanse and harmonize enterprise data to support AI use cases across both SAP and non-SAP environments. Reltio’s platform focuses on creating a consistent “golden record” for key business entities such as customers, suppliers, products and employees, including through AI-enabled entity resolution that merges records from multiple systems.

The move aligns with SAP’s broader strategy to position its data and applications for enterprise AI. As companies increasingly deploy AI-driven analytics and agent-based workflows, the ability to deliver trusted, interoperable data context becomes a differentiator—particularly in heterogeneous IT landscapes where data is fragmented across business units and platforms. By integrating Reltio’s data management capabilities, SAP aims to enhance data reliability and governance while reducing complexity in connecting disparate systems.

SAP expects the transaction to close in the second or third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. After the deal closes, Reltio will become a core capability within SAP’s Business Data Cloud, while continuing to be offered as a standalone solution under a flexible commercial model.
