NXP MEMS sensors business Acquired by STMicroelectronics — Technology M&A

STMicroelectronics has completed the acquisition of NXP MEMS sensors business, a technology other business in Geneva, for an undisclosed amount. STMicroelectronics acquisitions expand sensors capabilities by adding MEMS sensors for automotive safety and non-safety applications, plus industrial sensing products. The NXP MEMS sensors business strengthens ST’s position in automotive safety while supporting industrial end markets with advanced sensor technology. This strategic acquisition is an add on acquisition in technology M&A, fully approved by regulators after a July 2025 announcement, with expected mid-forties million dollars revenue contribution in Q1 2026.
