Stratasys has agreed to acquire MarkForged, a industrial equipment business in the additive manufacturing space, for $42.5 million in an all-cash MarkForged acquisition. Stratasys acquisitions add end-to-end Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) capabilities through MarkForged’s Digital Forge platform, combining hardware, in-house materials, and secure software for simulation and automated print optimization. MarkForged’s Continuous Carbon Fiber technology supports lightweight, high-strength production parts for aerospace and defense manufacturing, expanding Stratasys’ industrial equipment acquisition footprint and go-to-market coverage. The strategic acquisition is structured as an add on acquisition within manufacturing M&A, expected to close in the second half of 2026 subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
