Enhabit Acquired by Kinderhook — Healthcare M&A

Kinderhook Industries has acquired Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, a home health business in the United States, for $1.1 billion. Enhabit Home Health & Hospice operates 249 home health locations and 117 hospice locations across 34 states, providing post-acute care services that support Medicare-focused home-based treatment. Kinderhook Industries acquisitions in healthcare M&A target scalable home health acquisition platforms and hospice care delivery to expand regional coverage and referral networks. The merger acquisition is announced and expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 as a private equity acquisition, with Enhabit also amending its credit facilities in late February, including a $315.0 million senior secured term loan and a $160.0 million senior secured revolving credit facility.
