Deal Overview

ANZ has acquired Worldline Australia, a payments processing business in Victoria, for $89 million. ANZ Worldline, the joint venture between ANZ and Worldline S.A, provides point of sale and online payments technology to Australian businesses from Melbourne. ANZ acquires Worldline Australia to strengthen its direct transaction banking and merchant proposition for small business through institutional customers, aligning with the bank’s ANZ 2030 strategy. The add on acquisition is a strategic acquisition of Worldline S.A’s 51% stake, with an estimated implied equity value of about $30 million on a 51% basis, and completion is expected in the second half of FY2026 subject to ACCC approval. ANZ acquisitions in financial services M&A will have an estimated 6bps impact on Level 2 CET1.
