WealthKernel Acquired by Alpaca | Financial Services M&A Deal

Alpaca has completed the acquisition of WealthKernel, a payments processing business in Europe, for $320M. Alpaca acquires WealthKernel to expand regulated brokerage and custody capabilities across the UK and EU, supporting investment products such as ISAs and SIPPs. WealthKernel provides local brokerage and custody infrastructure that complements Alpaca’s US-headquartered, licensed, self-clearing brokerage platform for fintechs building cross-border wealth management. The Alpaca acquisitions are structured as an add on acquisition and strategic acquisition, with WealthKernel operating as Alpaca Europe under CEO leadership from the target team.
