Vialex Acquired by Higgs LLP — Professional Services M&A

Higgs LLP, a UK law firm, has acquired Edinburgh-based Vialex Limited and its specialist employment law arm, Navigator Employment Law Limited, in an add-on transaction. The deal creates a strengthened footprint for Higgs in Scotland, with the combined Vialex and Navigator teams continuing to operate from Edinburgh. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Vialex provides corporate and commercial legal services to high-growth, mid-market and private equity-backed owner-managed businesses, including outsourced legal counsel and transactional support. Navigator Employment Law Limited focuses on employment law and health & safety advisory work. The acquisition is positioned as part of Higgs’ broader strategy to expand its corporate, commercial and employment capabilities across the UK, leveraging Vialex’s sector expertise and client base while adding depth in employment and regulatory matters.

Higgs described the move as its first transaction following its investment from August Equity at the end of 2025, aimed at building a platform to serve clients with operations beyond Scotland. The firms’ leadership indicated that the combination will broaden service offerings for existing clients and support growth for the combined employment and health & safety proposition, though no expected closing date was stated.
