Marquee Brands has acquired a majority stake in Roberto Cavalli, a consumer brands dtc business in Italy. Roberto Cavalli is a fashion and lifestyle brand with direct-to-consumer retail and brand licensing capabilities that support global distribution. Marquee Brands acquisitions in consumer M&A aim to strengthen its platform acquisition strategy in luxury apparel and accelerate a worldwide relaunch. The announced platform acquisition also includes a partnership with Damac for a coordinated global relaunch, combining brand marketing with real estate and hospitality touchpoints. Marquee Brands, backed by private equity acquisition objectives, did not disclose deal value or expected closing terms.
