Hatcher Insurance Group has acquired Level 3 Benefit Advisors, a insurance brokerage business in Florida, for $148 million. Level 3 Benefit Advisors, based in Winter Park, provides employee benefits services that expand Hatcher’s benefits practice within Orlando-area operations. Hatcher Insurance Group also serves personal and commercial lines and benefits, and the Level 3 Benefit Advisors acquisition strengthens its ability to deliver integrated benefits solutions to employers across FL. The strategic acquisition is structured as an add-on acquisition within financial services M&A and FL acquisitions, with founder Tom McGaffic joining Hatcher to lead the benefits practice and pursue additional acquisitions. Hatcher is also moving its headquarters from College Park to the Dr. Phillips Charities building in Orlando to support growth to more than 60 employees later this year.
