Interim HealthCare Acquired Its South Carolina Hospice Franchise — Healthcare M&A

Interim HealthCare has acquired its second-largest, long-tenured franchise in its network, taking ownership of a South Carolina operation from the prior franchisee. The acquired business serves the upstate and Midlands regions of South Carolina and also includes a hospice location in Atlanta. Financial terms were not disclosed, and the transaction is structured as an add-on acquisition within Interim HealthCare’s franchise footprint.

Interim HealthCare is a national franchisor operating in home care, home health, hospice, and medical staffing. The company is backed by Caring Brands International, which also has international home-care brands in the UK and Australia. By bringing an established hospice and home-based care provider under corporate ownership, Interim HealthCare is reinforcing its presence in the hospice market across the Southeast and expanding access to its clinical and operational support resources for local care teams.

The deal transfers the franchise to Interim corporate ownership, with no plans to re-sell the operation, according to company statements. The acquired franchise employs close to 800 people and supports more than 3,000 patients daily, conducting over 350,000 patient visits annually. The announcement does not specify a target closing date or named transaction advisors.
