Wipro Hydraulics, part of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Italy-based Indeco Ind Spa. The deal is intended to expand Wipro Hydraulics beyond hydraulic cylinders into the hydraulic attachments market.
Indeco, established in 1976, manufactures hydraulic hammers, mulching heads, shears, and other demolition-related attachments for construction, demolition, and recycling industries. Indeco operates seven manufacturing facilities in Italy and one in the US, and the founding Vitulano family will remain operationally involved despite the stake buyout. Indeco CEO Susanna Vitulano said Wipro is expected to support the next phase of growth through enhanced R&D capabilities and a global network.
