Singapore’s Ministry of Health has committed to investing SG$2.5 billion, a healthcare IT business in Singapore, for $1.9 billion. The funding supports translational and clinical research tied to precision medicine and genome sequencing for up to 450,000 people, advancing healthcare IT acquisition priorities in Singapore. It also backs AI for Healthier SG preventive care, with models trained on local clinical data and guidelines for cardiometabolic and ophthalmic disease risk stratification and explainable clinical decision support. The program is part of Singapore’s RIE 2030 plan and includes SG$350 million for public-private partnerships focused on preventive and acute care innovations, with healthcare M&A interest driven by demand for validated AI-enabled workflows in outpatient and primary care.
