Brachers, a Kent-based law firm, has acquired Gill Turner Tucker, a legal practice with more than 70 years of history and offices in Maidstone and Dover. The transaction is structured as an add-on acquisition, with Gill Turner Tucker becoming part of Brachers’ operations. The deal value was not disclosed, and existing staff are expected to remain in post following completion.
The acquisition extends Brachers’ footprint within the South East of England and reinforces a broader consolidation trend in the UK legal services market. Gill Turner Tucker’s local presence in Maidstone and Dover complements Brachers’ existing offices in Canterbury and Maidstone, supporting the combined firm’s ability to serve businesses and individuals across Kent with expanded resources and expertise.
Brachers is part of Lawfront, which has been building a portfolio of regional firms through acquisitions, including Brachers’ own purchase by Lawfront last year with backing from private equity fund Blix. The announcement indicates the firms share a growth and client-service agenda, with the integration expected to leverage Lawfront group investment while maintaining Gill Turner Tucker’s local roots.
