OceanFirst and Flushing Get Shareholder Approvals

OceanFirst Financial Corp. and Flushing Financial Corporation announced receipt of the requisite shareholder approvals for their previously announced merger. The combination is structured under an Agreement and Plan of Merger dated December 29, 2025.

The companies also reported approvals from the New York State Department of Financial Services and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, with dates of March 23, 2026 and April 6, 2026, respectively. Remaining steps include receipt of the requisite regulatory approval from the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and other customary closing conditions.
