Doeren Mayhew, a Michigan-based professional services firm, has acquired Birmingham, Alabama CPA firm Dent Moses, LLP, along with its affiliate Impact Technology Group, LLC. The transaction is structured as an add-on acquisition and is designed to expand Doeren Mayhew’s footprint in the Southeast while broadening its technology services capabilities. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal became effective Feb. 10, 2026, with Dent Moses leadership continuing in place to support continuity for clients and staff.
Dent Moses, founded in 1923 and formed through a 2015 merger, provides audit, tax, and outsourced accounting services to high-net-worth individuals, privately held companies, and governmental entities, with exposure to sectors including construction, real estate, professional services, manufacturing, and distribution. Its technology arm, Impact Technology Group, has grown from an early technology solutions initiative into a managed and co-managed IT platform, reflecting a broader trend among accounting firms to integrate advisory and technology-enabled services to meet evolving client needs.
Under the combination, Doeren Mayhew established its first Alabama office, adding nine principals and nearly 65 professionals. Dent Moses managing partner Lee Willoughby will lead the Birmingham operation as managing principal, while former Dent Moses partners will serve as principals within Doeren Mayhew. The acquisition also positions Doeren Mayhew to scale its managed IT services offering across its existing geographic footprint.
