SPIE to Acquire Czech Cleanroom Specialist BLOCK Group

SPIE has signed an agreement to acquire BLOCK Group, a Czech-based provider of cleanroom design, engineering, procurement, and construction solutions. BLOCK Group was founded in 1991 and serves clients in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, microelectronics, and optics.

BLOCK Group delivers turnkey cleanroom services across the full project lifecycle, including implementation and service and validation, and also supports process automation systems and high-voltage installations. In FY2025 it generated revenues of about €50 million and employed approximately 160 professionals as of March 2026.

The transaction is expected to complete in Q2 2026, subject to customary closing conditions including antitrust approval.
