Deal Overview

Vena, an AI-powered enterprise software provider focused on Microsoft-based performance management, has completed its acquisition of Acterys. The deal is structured as an add-on acquisition, with the purchase price undisclosed. Vena said the combination is intended to strengthen its Orchestrated Planning offering and begin phased integration of the two platforms. Acterys CEO Mike Zack will continue to lead the business as General Manager, while Acterys CTO Hesam Ziaei joins Vena as VP of R&D to support a unified product roadmap.

Acterys is positioned in the Microsoft ecosystem with a Power BI–based operational planning and app development platform, including capabilities such as Power BI write-back and multidimensional modeling aligned with Microsoft Fabric. Vena’s platform targets finance-orchestrated planning and analytics, aiming to reduce “decision latency” by connecting data, processes, and AI-driven assistance across tools commonly used by Microsoft-centric enterprises. The acquisition broadens the scope of planning from finance into operational execution within Power BI and Fabric, targeting IT and finance teams that need governed, secure deployment.

Vena and Acterys will remain available through the Microsoft Marketplace as the integration progresses. The company did not disclose a specific timeline for full platform convergence, but it indicated that data and process integration will be prioritized to support deployments across finance, IT, and business stakeholders.
